School Information

St. Thomas More School is devoted to the spiritual, academic and social development of our parish children ages 3 years through grade eight. Our school is accredited through the Ohio Catholic School Accrediting Association (OCSAA) and follows the Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s graded course of study for all subjects. This provides our students with a rigorous curriculum which incorporates our Catholic beliefs into the learning experience. The school emphasizes Catholic values, the development of personal character, and commitment to the service of God, Church and neighbor.  Our preschool program offers a two-day 3 year old class (8:00 – 11:00 am), three-day 4 year old class (8:00 – 11:00 am) , and a five day Pre-K class (1:00 – 3:00 pm).

Our student: teacher ratio of 17:1 is the lowest in the area and underscores our commitment to forming a close-knit learning community. St. Thomas More teachers take a personal interest in each child and strive to meet specific learning needs. Certified instructors complement the academic program, providing classes in art, music, computer, and physical education. Junior high students (grades 6-8) also learn Spanish, with classes twice a week.

Our hands-on science instruction focuses on learning through doing, particularly for students in grades 4-8. Our school has wireless access throughout the campus to allow students to take advantage of online textbooks and resources that support learning objectives. Interactive whiteboards are used in all classrooms, and student response systems (clickers) give teachers and students in grades 4-8 instant feedback on student learning. Our junior high students have access to 1 to 1 computers for learning.

The school offers students a wide variety of enrichment, extracurricular and athletic activities to suit diverse interests, develop leadership and social values and to strengthen our community.
