SACRED HEART OF JESUS

This month is devoted to the
Sacred Heart of Jesus!

As we enter the final weekend in June,
we offer special traditional prayers
prayed by Catholics for decades!

What is the history behind this devotion?

Jesus presented the Sacred Heart devotion to
St. Margaret Mary Alacoque
during four visions in 1673-1675.

St. Margaret Mary recalls:

“My Divine Master revealed to me that it was
His ardent desire
to be known, loved and honored by men, and
His eager desire
to draw them back from the road to perdition,
along which satan is driving them in countless numbers,

that induced Him
to manifest His Heart to men
with all the treasures of
love, mercy, grace, sanctification and salvation
that It contains.”

To help you answer Christ’s call to you
for devotion to His Sacred Heart, and to
combat the darkness,
contorted truths, and suffering
satan is injecting into our culture,

MARIAN PILGRIMAGE

The Fatima Pilgrimage Statue in the photo
is being carried to parishes throughout the archdiocese
as a part of its bicentennial celebration.

It was here at St. Thomas More last Friday.
Visitors and parishioners adored the Blessed Sacrament
near this blessed reminder of His Mother,
recalling her extensive and ongoing work to bring souls to her Son.

The pilgrims carrying the statue on this journey
received lunch in the Faith Formation Room,
expressing gratitude for our hospitality.

STM parishioners expressed thanks for the opportunity
to participate in this historic and memorable event and
to meet such dedicated men and women!

You can still join in!
Saturday, June 19th, Noon - 4:00 pm

FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI

The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ,
celebrated this weekend,
is historically known by its Latin name,
Corpus Christi.

It celebrates the Real Presence of Jesus Christ
in the Holy Eucharist—Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.
(our Eucharist is NOT a symbol!)

The feast dates back to the Middle Ages,
originated from
a visionary nun
and
a Eucharistic miracle.

Discover this Eucharistic miracle at the link below:
