Pope establishes World Day for
Grandparents & the Elderly

This year begins its celebration on the 4th Sunday of July,
close to the liturgical memorial of
Saints Joachim and Anne, Jesus' grandparents.

Why? The Holy Father said,
“Grandparents are often forgotten,
and we forget this wealth of preserving roots and
passing on” what the elderly have received."

The elderly “remind us that old age is a gift
and that grandparents are the link between the different generation,
to pass on to the young the experience of life.”

To incentivize the day, the Pope permitted granting a plenary indulgence, under the usual conditions.

CAN WE PROVE GOD EXISTS?

Why should there be such doubt—such confusion—
about the existence of God?

For thousands of years, people have debated His existence.
Most conclude that it cannot be proven—one way or the other.

Some become agnostics,
asserting that they “don’t know” if God exists.
Atheists conclude that God does not exist.
These people represent a special category that
God describes as,
“The fool has said in his heart, There is no God” (Psalm 14:1).
This scripture is repeated in Psalm 53:1.

Why is this question important today?
Current research shows that a majority of our children
opt out of believing in God around age 13!

What is happening in our culture to lead them to this conclusion?

Click the link below to hear why we can know God is real
and answer when children or adults ask,
providing reasons for the credibility of our faith.

WE CAN PROVE THAT GOD EXISTS!

PRAYER FOR YOUR 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATIONS!

We certainly have experienced anti-gospel rhetoric from
our culture during the pandemic.

To help us maneuver our mindset through this,
Mother Teresa offers good advice.
Her poem keeps us centered
on our relationship with God
when the world around us
is spiraling out of control!
